“Carbon Credit” Carbon Emission Trading Game
Carbon Credit is an educational competitive game for 2 to 4 players that highlights environmental sustainability and promotes social awareness. During the game, players can choose between the following strategies: 1. Attack your opponents with pollution by building factories (RED) and earn victory points if the opponent was not able to recycle it below their cap; 2. Build profitable but non-polluting commerce zones (BLUE) that will reward you with tokens. The tokens earned can be exchanged for Victory Points. 3. Clean the pollution by building recycling facilities (GREEN) to earn Carbon Credits that can be exchanged for Victory Points. A player is by no means locked into a strategy and may adjust his buildings during the game to counteract the opponents strategies or maintain a well balance building portfolio. The player with the most Victory Points by the end of the eighth round wins the game. What role do you think is the dominant strategy? Play Carbon Credit and find out!
